Aus Chaos entsteht neues. So auch hier, in dieser alten Fleischverpackungsfabrik in Chicago. Das vom Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity in Illinois unterstütze Projekt Namens The Plant soll bald eine Null-Waste-Fabrik werden. Alles was an Abfällen abfällt, wird in einen Biokreislauf eingespeist, der dann wiederum sowas nettes wie Kombucha-Tee, Bier oder Fisch produziert. Klingt komisch, klappt aber.

A remarkable food production plant is being assembled in a former meat processing facility in Chicago. It's remarkable because the waste from one type of food becomes the raw material for another. So "The Plant" will be producing Kombucha tea, fresh vegetables, tilapia, and beer…with virtually no waste!
